Account & Data Deletion
Effective Date: May 19, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Pyrography Patterns account and erase your data from our systems. It satisfies the disclosure requirements set by the Google Play Data Safety section and the Apple App Store Privacy guidelines.
Quick summary
If you signed up for web access, Pyrography Patterns holds your email address and session token in our database. For all users, we also store an anonymous device ID used for app functionality. We do not collect your name or password to use the app. We identify you only by an anonymous random ID stored on your device. You can:
- Wipe everything on-device at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing site data in your browser.
- Request deletion of any server-side account data (web account records, content reports, subscription receipts cached on our side) by emailing us.
Request server-side data deletion
Send an email to the address below. Include the anonymous user ID shown in your in-app Settings if you want us to locate account records tied to your device. If you do not have that ID, tell us approximately when you used the app and we will do our best to locate associated records.
Email support@pyrographypatterns.com
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete server-side deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Always deletable, immediately, by you
- On-device data: Preferences, saved patterns library, generation history, your anonymous user ID. Deleted instantly when you uninstall the app or clear browser site data for our site.
Deletable by emailing us
- Web account (email + sessions): If you created a web account to access Patterns to Burn on a computer, we hold your email address, session tokens, and any linked RevenueCat user ID in our database. Emailing us will result in permanent deletion of these records within 30 days. Note: gallery images you shared remain as platform content per our Terms of Use.
- Content report records: If you have submitted a report against community content, the report metadata (anonymous user ID, IP address, user agent, country code, prompt text, target image URL) sent to us through Resend.
- RevenueCat subscription cache: The receipt validation record tied to your anonymous user ID. (See note below about Apple / Google records.)
Not deletable directly by us
Three categories of data sit outside our control:
- Community gallery images: Patterns shared to the public gallery are permanent platform content under our Terms of Use (§5.3). They are not removed on request, including account deletion requests. The gallery is a community resource and images remain visible after an account is deleted.
- Apple App Store and Google Play purchase records: If you have an active or past subscription, the platform itself retains receipts and billing history. To delete those, manage your subscription and request data deletion directly with Apple or Google.
- OpenAI usage logs: When you generate patterns, prompts and any uploaded edit photos are sent to OpenAI as a processing subprocessor. OpenAI retains those briefly for abuse monitoring per their enterprise data processing terms. We do not have direct delete access to OpenAI's logs, but they are not tied to your identity beyond the same anonymous user ID we share.
How long do we retain data after a deletion request?
| Data type | Default retention | After deletion request |
|---|---|---|
| Community gallery images | Permanent platform content | Not removed — permanent per Terms §5.3 |
| Content report records | 2 years (for moderation history) | Anonymized or removed within 30 days; report content kept for moderation case if active |
| RevenueCat subscription cache | For the duration of your subscription + 7 years (tax/legal) | Cleared in our app within 30 days; RevenueCat retention per their policy |
| Cloudflare logs (request/response) | 30-90 days | Naturally rolls off within 90 days |
For subscribers: cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Apple and Google manage subscription cancellations, not us. To cancel:
- iOS: Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Pyrography Patterns Premium → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Open the Google Play Store app → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pyrography Patterns → Cancel.
For refund requests, contact Apple or Google Play directly. We cannot issue refunds on store-handled subscriptions.
If you are in the EU, UK, California, or another protected region
You have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws. Those rights and how to exercise them are detailed in our Privacy Policy. The email above is also the contact path for those formal requests; please indicate which right you are exercising (access, deletion, portability, correction, restriction, objection, opt-out of sale or sharing) in your message and we will respond within the statutory timelines.
